7 Don’ts After a Meal

* Don’t smoke-Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).
* Don’t eat fruits immediately -Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal.

* Don’t drink tea -Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.

* Don’t loosen your belt -Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted &blocked.

* Don’t bathe -Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.
* Don’t walk about -People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.
* Don’t sleep immediately -The -The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

FINALLY DONT JUST KEEP THIS EMAIL….
PLEASE FORWARD IT TO YOUR FRIENDS. LET THEM BE AWARE!!

Filipino is grand champion in Austria’s ‘Musical! Die Show’

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

It’s proven once again this fact that Pilipino singers are some of the best in the World! Tina

A full-blooded Filipino born in Vienna to Pinoy parents, Bueno shouted “Philippines! Philippines! ” after he was declared the winner of “Musical! Die Show” (Musical! The Show), an Austrian singing competition with all the pizazz and campy glamour of “American Idol” but much tougher: instead of simply singing pop tunes, contestants are required to choose from Broadway musical theater repertoire, and give a performance that involves singing, dancing, acting and theatrical effects.

“Musical! Die Show” is aired over the Austrian national broadcaster ORF.

Here is the link to the full news article with YouTube links of his performance:

The Cracked Pot

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

The Cracked Pot

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole
which she carried across her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always
delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot
arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only
one and a half pots of water.

Of course , the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable
that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the
woman one day by the stream

‘I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak
out all the way back to your house.’

The old woman smiled and said; “Did you notice that there are flowers on
your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side=3F ”

‘That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower
seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water
them.’

‘For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate
the table.

Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to
grace the house.’

Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it’s the cracks and flaws we each
have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.

You’ve just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good
in them.

SO, to all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell
the flowers on your side of the path!

This hybrid of letters and numbers used by gamers as an exclamation of happiness or triumph best sums up the year that was 2007, according to Merriam-Webster, and is an ideal choice because it blends whimsy and new technology. Lucky Pet

Sunday, January 20th, 2008

Last December 31, 2007, coming from work I decided to drop by the nearest pet shop to buy worms for my Silver Arowana fish. This store had been my favorite pet shop for the people here are not only warm to talk to but also very friendly in answering your query, which I have a lot.
I noticed that they have expanded their stocks of lovebirds and were placed in bigger cages. Inquiring about the price of an African lovebird, I got curios to one pair, which seem to be flirting to one another. I realize that this bird resembled my father’s favorite bird.

From the original tag of P750.00, they could give me a pair for the price of P600.00. I also remember my wife bugging me to ask my cousin (while we were in Pangasinan) for them to give us a pair of African lovebird for they have a lot. I am too ashamed to follow her request.

I decided that this would be my gift to my wife. There goes my P750.00 plus vitamins and feeds. We already have a cage.

By the way, my silver Arowana measures only a mere 6 inches in length last April when it came into our home. Now it measures 18 inches. I don’t know what is the maximum length this could grow but my 72-gallon of aquarium can still accommodate it for the mean time.

Going Back:

Two days ago my wife told me that he learned from a T.V. show that Lovebirds are lucky pet for this coming Year Of The Rat. February 7 officially start the Chinese New year.

I don’t know but maybe this is my best year in this planet earth for every morning when we woke up we could hear their very loud chirping as if greeting us “Good Morning”. Closing your eyes while lying in our sofa gives you a felling that you’re in the forest surrounded by birds.

Every morning, it gives me unmeasurable delight seeing my wife feeding and giving them water. She does this before watering her plants. For me I have found a perfect gift for my ladylove (Very Cheap Price!:=)).

Our children are all grown up now and needs only a little attention, maybe this gives her a new high. I am now considering buying turtles, snake, monkey, crocodile etc…but of course with her approval.
