CALL OUT MY NAME
WRITTEN BY H. MCCLEMONS
Ginger Mcclemons is more than happy to share her poem and there are no infringements attached to it! Enjoy!
Here I am…imprisoned,
my companion the stench of death.
Dying men call out my name
with their last dying breath.
Yet, my name’s banned from lips
still wet with vicious lies.
In the name of freedom he has said
yet, naught but his disguise.
A monster of remorseless cruelty,
my captor lust for blood.
With heart of stone, he’s blind with greed,
while his soldiers die in mud.
And, too many years I’ve suffered
from the fierceness of his rage,
as their blood rains down upon me
in the darkness of my cage.
So, pray for me…I beg of you.
Pray for my desperate release.
Gather yourselves, let your voices ROAR!
Call out my name…
It’s PEACE.
