A Minute of Prayer

May I request all readers of this blog to spend a few minutes of prayer for those people of Myanmar for another devastating cyclone that hit them a few days ago leaving 22,000 people dead and 41,000 missing as what I saw and heard over the T.V. set this morning.

Only last May 3, 2008 when cyclone Nargis visited the country leaving an estimated 22,000 dead and 44,000 missing plus over a million people homeless.

The UN’s World Food Program said it had begun distributing 800 tons of food.

The country is bordered by China on the north, Laos on the east, Thailand on the southeast, Bangladesh on the west, and India on the northwest, with the Bay of Bengal to the southwest. One-third of Burma’s total perimeter, 1,930 kilometres (1,199 mi), forms an uninterrupted coastline. (Source:Wikipedia)

April - Thanks for dropping by. Yes so sad. This made me thank that we are luckier despite skyrocketing prices and news of never ending corruption in the government. Sigh!Let us be thankful to God and count our blessings.

Yes, Mon. This is sad news. As I have learned, death toll is increasing rapidly.

I was praying hard when I watched this and thank HIM that I am still alive.

I wish they can recover again. Thanks for taking time to invite us to pray.

Angel - Thanks again for the visit. The problem is their government refuses to allow US government to help them. They are selective in accepting help.
