School Election
My youngest daughter asked me the day before if I could attend the school meeting of parents and guardian that will be held this Saturday. As I made a promise to them that I would attend their every school function since being assigned here in Metro-Manila, so I agreed.
The letter said the meting will start at about 8:00 AM. Arriving there at quarter to 8:00, I saw only a handful of parents. The program started 8:25 AM, ah Filipino time.
As far as I can remember, this is only the 3rd time that I as able to attend my child’s school activity for the reason that (previously) I was assigned in the province which prevented me from doing so.
After the short program, we parents proceeded to our children’s classroom. The teacher adviser explained some of the classroom problem that our children encountered. The help we could provide to our children to make their studies more productive and enjoyable.
After which, a need for us all present to elect our set of officers.
A short introduction of each attendees followed and after which the nomination and election ensued.
The elected Presidents of PTA took over the proceedings. He discussed the problem and asked suggestions from other parents until the solution were agreed upon.
All in all it was a productive day.
By the way, here is the list of elected officers:
President : Mr.Ramon Paulino (Me}
Vice-President : Mr. July Cicat
Secretary : Bhing Mameng
Treasurer : Salvation Cambaga
Auditor : Delma Tadeo
Business Manager : Danilo Teves
Sgt. at Arms : Maryjane Llano
PRO : Judith Tandoy
I think the responsibilities given to us as elected officer is not a joking matter. I only attended the meeting to accompany my wife but ended up being the PTA head of my daughter’s class. I Just hope I will not fail them.
So help me God!.

Congrats, Mon. My wife has been consistently a member of PTA for my children. Unfortunately, I only joined once but that was a long time ago.
It’s really interesting to be an officer for out children.
Thanks.
